2013 A few Single Trees (maocha)

This tea is a blend of a few single tree teas from Bangwei and Bulang. These trees stand out from their neighbours as some of the biggest and oldest trees in their gardens.

This is a very special tea. It is composed of a large proportion of buds, from the first flush of Spring. The taste is very pure, thick and with plenty of strength.

This is the first of our 2013 teas to arrive back from Yunnan - the others are coming on the slow boat and should be here early July.

A truly lovely tea

Review by bb
A beauty of a tea, drinking this lovely maocha. It treats me to all sorts of interesting complexity from the moment I start warming the leaves. A wonderful perfume that continually evolves. What I like best about this tea are the still moments between sips, when it really shows its essence. A profound deep calm, and frequent gifts of sweetness on the tongue and the many nuances of its perfume filling the head. This tea blesses.

A very pure puerh tea with excellent persistence

Review by Hoonill
I have steeped this puerh with a zisha hu from last night to today. First impression was that it tasted a bit like a good green tea. Howerver, as the number of steeping increased, it showed more young puerh characteristics: white flower, citrus, little bit dusty mouthfeel. The interesting is that I couldn't find bitterness or harshness which usually we can find in new sheng puerh. I assume that some puerh lovers would attack this tastes like green tea, as I thought in the first impression. However, after several steeping, I think that I can drink this tea forever and this is very refined and pure puerh tea with depth and persistence.
